As SATOLOC Dil ve Çeviri Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi, we place the utmost importance on ensuring the security of your personal data provided to us either while using our website, filling out relevant application forms, or through other means. This is in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye, international agreements to which our country is a party, and particularly the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) as well as other relevant legislation. As the Data Controller, we would like to inform you about the relevant legislation and some of the definitions it includes.

Processed Personal Data

Identity Data: Name, surname, Republic of Türkiye ID number, vehicle license plate,
Contact Data: Email address, address and phone number,
Financial Data: Bank account information,
Employment Data: Social Security Institution (SSI) entry notification and assignment documents, employment start date, title, signature circulars,
Visual and Audio Data: Camera recordings, call center voice recordings,
For Online Visitors to the Website: Transaction Security Information (IP address, site traffic information) Marketing Information,

Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data

Personal data is collected through fully automated means (cookies, server log files, and pixel tags, etc.) or partially automated means (filling out various forms, submitting resumes, etc.) and stored for the duration necessary for the processing purpose.

Personal data is processed based on the Online Visitor’s explicit consent. However, personal data may also be processed without explicit consent under the following legal bases as per Article 5(2) of the Law:

(i) If explicitly provided for in the laws,
(ii) If it is mandatory for the Data Controller to fulfill its legal obligations,
(iii) If data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right,
(iv) If data processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the Data Controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subjects.

Personal data may be processed in connection with the Online Visitor’s activities on the Website, when explicitly provided for by law or within the framework of other conditions specified in Article 5(2) of the Law:

  • When forms under the Contact section are filled out, for the purpose of conducting business activities/supervision, customer relationship management processes, tracking requests/complaints, and conducting communication activities in this context,
  • When forms under the Career section are filled out or resumes are submitted, for the purpose of conducting employee/intern candidate application processes,
  • “Site traffic information” for the purpose of conducting information security processes, (Additionally, pursuant to Law No. 5651 and other relevant legislation, the Hosting Provider has an obligation to record and store site traffic information.)
  • Information obtained through cookies is processed for the purpose of conducting information security processes.

Processing personal data for sending commercial electronic messages is subject to the Online Visitor’s explicit consent.

Mandatory cookies required for the operation and security of the Website may be used along with third-party cookies. The Online Visitor may modify browser settings to reject cookies or enable notifications for cookies. When cookie use is disabled, certain functions of the Website may not work properly.

To Whom and For What Purpose Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred

Personal data may be transferred to SATOLOC group companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, business partners, and authorized public institutions and organizations, limited to the purposes stated in the fourth section of this text, under the conditions specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law and with necessary security measures in place, if one of the conditions in Article 5(2) of the Law exists.

If none of the conditions in Article 5(2) of the Law exists, the transfer of Personal Data is subject to the explicit consent of the data subject.

To enhance customer satisfaction and communication activities more effectively, we use email management services provided by international service providers such as Mailchimp to announce campaigns and promotions to customers who have consented to commercial electronic communications. Emails sent through these services are designed solely to inform relevant customers, and all processes are conducted in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law. While Mailchimp’s servers are generally located in the United States, necessary security measures are taken according to international standards for data protection.

Rights of the Data Subject Under Article 11 of the Law

SATOLOC informs the data subject (personal data owner) of their rights pursuant to Article 10 of the Law, provides guidance on how to exercise these rights, and implements all necessary internal procedures, administrative and technical arrangements for these purposes.

Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, personal data owners have the right to:

  • Learn whether their personal data is processed,
  • Request information if their personal data has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing their personal data and whether this data is used in accordance with the purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom their personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
  • Request correction if their personal data is processed incompletely or inaccurately,
  • Request the deletion or destruction of their personal data within the framework of conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law,
  • Request notification of the operations carried out pursuant to sub-paragraphs (d) and (e) of Article 11 (correction and deletion operations) to third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred,
  • Object to the occurrence of any consequence against themselves by means of analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  • Claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing of their personal data.

Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you may submit your request regarding the exercise of your above-mentioned rights to our Company through the method(s) determined/to be determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

To request the exercise of any of your rights specified in Article 11 of the Law, you can complete the Personal Data Subject Application Form under Law No. 6698 on Protection of Personal Data available at www.satoloc.com, together with documents verifying your identity;

Alternatively, if you prefer, you can:

  • Submit your application in writing with a wet signature in person to “Kırmızıtoprak Mah. Porsuk Bulvarı, Nilay Sokak, Emin Apt. No:11/B Odunpazarı Eskişehir”,
  • Send it via notary public or registered mail with return receipt to the above address,
  • Send your application together with identity verification documents to info@satoloc.com address or via secure electronic mail to satolocdil@hs01.kep.tr.

Applications and requests must include: Name, surname and signature (if the application is written), Republic of Türkiye ID number for Turkish citizens, nationality, passport number or ID number if available for foreigners, Residential address or workplace address for notices, Email address, phone and fax number if available for notification,

The subject of the request is mandatory. Information and documents related to the subject must be attached to the application.

SATOLOC concludes the requests in the application as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, free of charge, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff determined by the Board.

SATOLOC may either accept the request or reject it by explaining its reasons and notify the relevant person in writing or electronically. If the request in the application is accepted, SATOLOC fulfills the requirement as soon as possible and informs the relevant person. If the application results from SATOLOC’s error, the fee collected is refunded to the relevant person.

In cases where the application is rejected, the response is found insufficient, or no response is given within the time limit, the relevant person has the right to file a complaint with the Board within thirty days from learning of the response and in any case within sixty days from the date of application.

Data Security

SATOLOC must take all necessary administrative and technical measures to prevent unlawful processing of personal data and unlawful access to personal data, to ensure the protection of personal data, and to provide an appropriate level of security.

Amendments

SATOLOC Dil ve Çeviri Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi reserves the right to make changes to this privacy notice due to possible changes in the Personal Data Protection Law or in the company’s Personal Data Processing methods.
